DC microgrids have been quite popular in recent times. The operational challenges like control and energy management of the renewable-driven standalone an interest research. This paper presents a bidirectional quasi Z-source DC-DC converter (BQZSDC). topology has developed based on conventional buck-boost type converter, it interfaces storage system common bus. challenge, however, lies effectively managing uncertain renewable sources catering for loads simultaneously. An effective strategy is needed that to achieve various microgrid objectives. deals with one such implemented BQZSDC. That is, fixed-frequency double-integral sliding mode (FF-DISMC) controls regulate bus voltage battery current. A detailed analysis controller conducted, its performance evaluated both charging (buck) discharging (boost) modes. Simulations performed MATLAB, showing performs satisfactorily achieving objectives regulation current regulation. Finally, proposed validated hardware setup.
